Sweden rallied past Latvia in the fourth, Finland also secured their second win


Swedish U16 boys earned their second win of the tournament as they defeated Latvia 75:68. Finland won Estonia 80:52 and is also 2-0.  

Swedes took a nice 23:15 lead in the first period but Latvia managed to close the gap to four points (36:32) heading to halftime break.  In the third latvians scored 22 against opponents 19 and the score was 55:54 to Sweden before the deciding quarter. It was a close game half past the period but then Swedes made a short 5:0 spurt and that was enough to close out the game.


William Erik Rachid Kermoury was the scoring leader for the winners with 18 points. Tunde Nils Matin Vahlberg Fasasi added 15 points and 9 rebounds. Frederiks Meinarts and Martiņs Rihards Zuments both scored 12 for Latvia.

Finland had a better start as the lead 17:11 after first quarter. Host team Estonia then made a 10:0 streak beginnig second period but the Finns found their rythm as well after that. Finland held on the lead by 4 points (34:30) heading to locker rooms.


As the score was 36:35, Finland made a 9:0 streak and forced Estonian head coach Kris Killing to take a timeout (45:35). After a competitive second half of the quarter the score was 56:43 to Finland.


In the last period of the game Finns were still playing better and got their second win of the tournament with 28 points.


Eino Pällijeff went off with 19 points and 9 rebounds, Eemeli Yalaho added 18 and Viljami Vartiainen scored 16 for team Finland. Karl Gustav Jurtšenko was the best for Estonia with 13 points and 4 rebounds
